Blog-Mas | Festive Makeup Look

The festive season means parties, and parties mean getting the chance to dress to impress! This post is on my festive makeup look!

For my base I used my usual routine of foundation, concealer, contour and bronze/highlight – you can find this in other blog posts.

For the eyes I used 3 different eye shadow pallettes to create this look. I started in the Naked Smokey palette from Urban Decay using the thirteen shade all over my eye lid. In my crease I used the shade creation from the Venus Lime Crime palette, this took some time to build the colour and blend out nice and evenly. I then went back into Urban Decay and used whiskey to darken the crease and add shading to the outer corner of my eye lid. I then did the same with the shade icon from Lime Crime, just make it even darker. Switching brushes, I then used the Revolution palette and used a gold shimmer eyeshadow and packed that onto my eyelid, blending it out into the darker corner.

To finish, I used the Rimmel glam eyes eyeliner and Loreal volume lashes mascara.

For my lips, I used the Nars Matte Lipstick in the shade Mysterious Red and over the top Mac Viva Glam3.

I will also wonder, and be in complete awe of those ladies who manage to make their makeup immaculate and take fabulous photos with their lights and fancy equipment… I’m still learning so I don’t really think the images do this look justice but hey ho you get the idea!
