Chocolate orange is one of my favourite flavours ever, specifically Terry’s chocolate orange and the Lindt chocolate orange! Inspired by Tanya Burr’s Chocolate Orange Cheesecake recipe, I thought i’d make my own.
YOU WILL NEED:
100g melted butter
1 terry’s chocolate orange
1 tub of mascarpone
150g icing sugar
tsp cocoa powder
400g digestive biscuits
tsp golden syrup
Melt the butter and golden syrup in a glass bowl over boiling water, and crush the digestives into fine crumbs.
Once melted mix in together and create an even base in your tin.
Mix together the cocoa powder, mascarpone and icing sugar. Meanwhile melt the chocolate orange and mix together once done.
Spoon mixture onto the base and create an even layer.
Now leave to set in the fridge for about 2 hours, then decorate! Before refrigerating, I used some dark chocolate chips melted up and drizzled over the top, I then chose to use some Lindt chocolate orange balls and sprinkled some silver edible glitter over the top.
One thing I should of done was use double the mixture for the topping as its very thin compared to a traditional cheesecake, but it actually worked out alright because it’s nice an light (and you get to have a bigger piece!).
