Shoes for less | Primark Edition

We all love a good bargain, and when it comes to wanting new things that you don’t need to spend a fortune on, go on over to Primark…

Now i’m fully aware there’s a lot of hoohar about Primark regarding their methods in manufacturing the clothes etc, but for me when I want something I’ll probably go off in a few months anyway or something cheaper when funds are low, I head to Primark.

Granted, most of the time Primark is full of crap poor quality clothing, but when you’re spending max £10 on a top, it’s not something to complain about. And there are times when you have to go hunting around to find something worth buying but when you find something good, it’s often worth it.

To me, there’s nothing better than when someone says, ‘omg I love *insert item here*, where did you get it?’ and I smugly reply Primark because it obviously didn’t look like it was bought from that shop. I guess it also depends on how you style things as well, I’m all for mixing investment pieces with a cheaper item. It means you can swap and change up your clothes more often!

I bought these shoes about two weeks ago and I love them so much! For £8, they are in my opinion a very good Gucci dupe. Yes, they’re not leather so maybe a pair from Topshop or Next may look better or last longer, but let’s be honest I’ll probably buy another pair in a few months, so for now these will do me just fine.

They also come in silver and a metallic blue shade, very nice and very comfy!

(my little fish net socks are also from Primark)

My next pair are these light pink / nude knot slip on trainers. The first time I wore these I was asked if they were bought from French Connection, now knowing their prices they fo’ sure weren’t, but the fact they looked a little like some of a higher price range was enough for me. I bought these because I really liked the style, and at £10 I couldn’t resist. Little did I know when I walked past the likes of Kurt Geiger, they’re in other shops as well.

Silly me for studying fashion and not even realising emerging trends!

Below I’ve listed a few links to some higher end shoes in the same styles as these Primark bargains, however I’m sure the obvious store like Tosphop, Zara, Mango, RI etc will stock cheaper alternatives…
